Thorns

My Project aims to use sharp and simple graphics, with its unique language, to transform the tension in interpersonal relationships into particular artistic reality that can be experienced. 

In social relationship, people take thorns as their armor to protect themselves from others. However, hurts and pains which thorns make will eventually turn back to themselves.

To hurt and to be hurt, to camouflage adamancy and to be true vulnerability is often exist at the same time in one person. With an artist's unique sensitivity, I would love to make a large area of white media to express neutral existence with visualizing the possibilities in the realistic world. The appearance of thorns can be diverse, one can even touch those top. Audience will be invited to step into the space where thorns are fully occupied. Through different senses to experience the feelings of different materials. When my artwork, with different sizes and shapes, covers the whole space, it will naturally lead person into his/her emotions. By observing the interaction mode and subconscious reaction from visitors, we can get the actual feedback on the artworks.
